Micromobility:

Your Turnkey After-Sales Infrastructure Across Europe

→ LMT Manufacturers

While brands focus on design and production, NOWOS handles the operational complexity of the battery lifecycle from diagnostics and repair to regulatory compliance and end-of-life management.

KEY BENEFITS OF BATTERY REPAIR FOR BRANDS

  • Reduce Total Cost of Ownership: Certified repairs at 55% less than the cost of total pack replacement.

  • Comply and Operationalize the Right to Repair and EU Battery Regulation Articles 11 & 57 with audit-ready documentation and Battery Passport data continuity.

  • Quality Control: One process approved by your OEM across all hubs for a streamlined approach.

  • R&D: Feed real-world failure analytics back into your R&D and Quality teams to improve future product reliability.

  • Customers: Extend Customer Lifetime (CL) by extending battery life by 2-5 years minimum

  • ESG & Sustainability: Receive high-quality auditable impact data that supports reporting and brand commitments

Manufacturers gain a scalable, European service layer without building expensive and compliance-heavy repair centers themselves.

Measured Performance

When collaborating with brands, we provide predefined KPIs on a regular basis:

  • Inventory of parts management

  • Repair Success Rates

  • Volume & Weight repaired

  • Battery failure types, Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)

  • State of Health (SOH)

  • % new parts used, % Repaired parts used, % of Re-used components

  • Recycling Certification in case of non-repair

→ COMPLIANCE READY

Right to Repair and Battery Regulations: Are You Ready?

  • Right to Repair Directive (R2RD)

31 July 2026: Full National Application. Member States must apply national laws.

    • Obligation to repair in-scope products (like LMTs) begins.

      • 12-month warranty extension for products repaired during the legal guarantee starts.

      • Price transparency and spare part accessibility become mandatory.

    EU Battery Regulation

    • 18 August 2025: Supply chain due diligence and updated producer responsibility rules take effect.

    • 18 February 2027: The Major Milestone for LMT.

      • Removability: LMT batteries must be replaceable by professionals.

      • Battery Passport: Mandatory QR code/Passport for LMT batteries.

    • 18 August 2027: Mandatory third-party verification of supply chain due diligence.

  • Manufacturers must ensure that by July 2026, their service infrastructure is ready to handle repair requests for their products under R2RD.

Simultaneously, by February 2027, batteries must physically meet the "professional repair and replaceability" and "Battery Passport" standards of the Battery Regulation.

  • NOWOS provides a turnkey solution that addresses the technical and legal requirements of both regulations:

    • Battery Repair: Instead of costly full-pack replacements, NOWOS performs expert repairs using original components to maintain Type Approval.

    • European Repair Network: Meet R2RD "Obligation to Repair" by benefitting from NOWOS hubs in the Netherlands, France, and the UK (with Germany and Poland coming soon).

    • Regulatory & Technical Documentation: Every repair is documented to UN 38.3 and CE standards, providing the legal paper trail you need for warranty extensions and safety compliance.

    • Digital Battery Passports (DPP): NOWOS has piloted a Battery Passport, helping customers prepare to implement QR-linked health and history tracking.

    • Eco-Engineering Consulting: We use real-world repair data to help your engineers design next-generation LMTs that meet the 2027 "Professional Repair" standards.
