Battery Maintenance

NOWOS performs routine or preventive procedures carried out to extend battery life, avoid degradation, and reduce the need for repairs or replacements.

This includes preventive measures like balancing, firmware checks, deep discharge prevention, and BMS updates to extend battery life without entering into repair or reuse classification.

Types of Maintenance Services

Our maintenance approach combines diagnostics (electrical, thermal, mechanical), preventive interventions (balancing, contact repair, thermal system servicing), targeted component replacement when needed, and transparent reporting so clients can make informed, cost-effective lifecycle decisions.

  • Performance Recovery: Restoring capacity through cell balancing and internal resistance mitigation to eliminate voltage sag.

  • Mechanical Integrity: Inspecting welds and terminals to prevent hotspots and energy loss from vibration or thermal stress.

  • System Intelligence: BMS diagnostics and firmware updates to correct sensor drift and ensure accurate State of Charge (SoC) reporting.

  • Safety & Compliance: Proactive fault detection (thermal runaway/deep discharge) to maintain warranty status and regulatory standards.

  • Environmental Protection: Testing thermal management systems and seals against heat, humidity, and contamination.

  • Lifecycle Management: Technical grading and repair for second-life applications readiness to maximize asset value.

  • Large-scale charging: In case batches of batteries have been stored idle for an extended time
